Zoo 2009 Interns will receive first hand experience of the installation, as well as the running, production and de-installation of Zoo 2009 in October. Interns will play an active participatory role in the event’s production as well as partaking in a series of events prior to the Event providing valuable training and networking opportunities. With a focus on students and recent graduates the Zoo 2009 Internship Scheme aims to provide an opportunity for participants to find out more about the contemporary art world and what their role in it might be.
Through the Zoo Art Enterprises Internship Scheme, people still studying for their first degree, engaged in post-graduate studies or just out of college, can acquire in-depth experience in the management of a rapidly expanding, lively, international art event – gaining an understanding of how the independent art market works, as well as about exhibitions, projects, and individual exhibitors, including galleries, project spaces and publications.
Early application is encouraged for applicants interested in the pre-production management leading up to the event. Applications for the Internship Scheme are currently closed.
