Jack Strange

It Does, audio track composed and performed by Ben Barwise (a.k.a. Mr Clack) with lyrics by Jack Strange. A song about the different qualities of mud, being in nature and how these things relate to and affect a sense of seeing, making and being happy. Using home-made synthesizers and a recently acquired drum machine, Mr. Clack brings the lyrics to life using his distinct melancholic lo-fi electronic sound. Jack Strange is also exhibiting with Maribel López Gallery in Stand C5.

Anna Barham

For this performance, entitled Karolina, Helka, Andrew (Zoo 18.10.09), Anna Barham has invited three dancers to work with the pieces of a large tangram. The tangram, a Chinese puzzle of uncertain origin, is a recurring motif in Barham’s work, and the dancers will negotiate the fleeting spaces and structures they create in a continual sequence of reconfiguration.

Sunday 18 October – 5.30 pm

Can Altay

Istanbul based artist Can Altay talks about his work on urbanity, systems and structures that host unpredictable reconfigurations, while questioning whether art worlds at hand can still provide a similitude for concepts such as ‘the social’, if not ‘the public’. Can Altay is also exhibiting with Arcade in Stand C8.
